About
Welcome to Kitchen Lemon, a hidden culinary gem nestled in the heart of Cebu City, Philippines. Located at the I1 Building on Jose Maria del Mar St, this cozy establishment has garnered a loyal local following, particularly among the Japanese business community from the nearby IT Park. With a charming ambiance that celebrates thoughtful design, Kitchen Lemon is much more than just a dining spot; it’s a delightful experience awaiting your discovery.
At Kitchen Lemon, the menu bursts with flavors that leave a lasting impression. One key highlight is the signature salad featuring a zesty blend of lemon and thousand island dressing, which has won rave reviews for its refreshing taste. A customer remarked, "The touch of lemon with thousand island sauce in the salad makes it absolutely delicious," a sentiment echoed by many who have dined here.
The creamy mushroom soup is another standout, served at the perfect temperature, inviting you to savor every spoonful. And if you're in the mood for something hearty, the authentic Japanese curry is not to be missed. While the rice may not boast the characteristic sweetness of top-grade Japanese rice, it complements the rich curry, creating a comforting dish perfect for lunch or dinner.
The restaurant also shines with its variety of savory options, including the praised Caesar salad, which has been dubbed the best in the Philippines by one enthusiastic diner. With crispy bacon or pork belly elevating the experience, it's no wonder that this dish has gained a following. Additionally, the deep-fried skewered pork paired with a delightful sauce and succulent fried chicken drumsticks promise to satisfy your cravings.
The ambiance at Kitchen Lemon is inviting, though some patrons suggest a slight adjustment to the air-conditioning for an even more comfortable dining experience. Nonetheless, the atmosphere, combined with attentive service and a professional Japanese chef overseeing quality control, ensures that your meal is both enjoyable and well-prepared.

“ Great food, nice atmosphere but could turn the Air-conditioning up abit. The touch of lemon with thousand island sauce in the salad makes it absolutely delicious. Mushroom soup was creamy and arrived at perfect temperature to eat. Curry is authentic Japanese curry and the rice is a short grain rice but not sure whether it's Japanese rice as it lacks the subtle sweetness. ”
“ Nice area for restaurant, not big but can feel many design ideas. ”
“ The meal I had today is very satisfying. It would be better if they have a spicier version of the curry dish. They have included side dishes (salad and potato soup) to go as well. The packaging is secured. I don't mind splurging once in a while, but if I have to, I'll be back here. To add, this restaurant is very tidy with homey feels. The waitress is also very professional. The staff is well-mannered. One pet peeve of mine is when staff members are just gossiping and talking loudly. I was alone sitting and waiting for my food and I enjoyed the silence. Thank you. ”
“ I ordered the Caesar salad (no picture), Marinated Squid, Deep-fried Skewered Pork and Fried Chicken Drumsticks. Caesar salad was the best salad I've had in the Philippines so far and it also had some sort of bacon or pork belly in it. Marinated Squid was also good, but it is a salad. So my only critique here would have been to mention on the menu it is a salad. I probably wouldn't have ordered it had I known, since I already had the Caesar salad. The dressing tasted like some sort of maybe red wine vinegar. Both of those salads were good, it is hard to choose a favorite. The squid is probably less calories though. Deep-fried Skewered Pork were decent. The sauce they came with was great and probably the main reason I liked them so much. Fried Chicken Drumsticks were juicy. I felt they could have used more seasoning (maybe a touch of salt first, then more seasoning in the batter). But they were still good. The service was good and the food came out at a good pace. Overall enjoyable experience and I'd like to go back again. ”
“ Been here twice and will continue to dine here as the food is exquisite. Some of the flavours, freshness, and healthy food is divine. You simply have to try the food here for yourself. It's now one of my favourite restaurants in the world. Amazing!! ”
“ Very good food, service. I want to keep it a secret, but it's too delicious. Lots of Japanese clientele, business people of IT Park rather than tourists and mall-goers (thankfully). The Japanese chef has high standards and is always watching to ensure good service and food. Very good quality everything, so glad to have this hidden gem in this convenient location! Very lovely place, hope they don't change a thing. Best things on the menu are the steak and any lunch time special or combos, which all come with a lot of food! ”
“ We tried this low-key Japanese restaurant in I.T. Park and we just found this gem in the middle of the concrete jungle. At first, we thought the prices seemed high. But once the food was served, we were pleasantly surprised because the portions were very generous and they were plenty tasty side dishes that really added to the experience. We only ordered two of their main course but couldn't even finish what we ordered. Definitely a place I'd recommend for anyone craving delicious food in a cozy setting. ”
“ Went to Kitchen Lemon on a Saturday evening. It’s a cosy establishment, tucked away from the crowd but still within walking distance. I ordered the chicken doria and a mock sangria. The food was tasty and the servings were generous. The price is fair, especially as a foreigner, considering the quality of the food. Would recommend this place for solo diners or small groups. ”
